EMS is an Open Access journal that provides free access to all published articles directly from the journal's website, as well as from Google Scholar. However, this publication model based on author fees. Authors do not need to pay for manuscript submission or the peer-review process. Only manuscripts that are accepted for publication are subject to a processing fee. After acceptance, authors will receive payment instructions. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any discounts or waivers of the publication processing fee based on the author's country of origin, rank, financial status, institute, or publication history.

We estimate that it will take approximately 6 weeks to process a manuscript, depending on the length of the peer-review process, time required for manuscript correction by authors, speed of response to galley-proof acceptance, your institution's payment procedures, and the number of manuscripts awaiting publication.
